    Well said, it is a slow and painful process. I am finding very useful information in this forum, and a sense that others are experiencing all the same emotions I am.     You say that "discouraging Spousal sponsorship" is CIC policy? Where have you read this? Can you give us more information?

    August 26 + 66 days is actually November not December. If the processing time somehow is lowered (unlikely as that seems) you could have your app processed in October. Think Positive!

    foreign marriage license

    If you are married overseas you may need to have the foreign marriage license legalized by the foreign affairs office and by the Canada consulate in your country. We had to do this for our marriage in East Europe, it may be different in other places. info here, Canadian Foreign Affairs...
