Parent Sponsorship - Pros and Cons

In my specific case, Supervisa is basically a visitor visa which requires you to get medical insurance for at least one year. My parents do not require visa to enter Canada. Hence it doesn't make sense to apply for a Visa They already have medical insurance in their home country, so there is no...

Parent Sponsorship - Pros and Cons

Not all disables can work but your post does make me feel sad. Not everything is about profit and loss in the society. There are other factors like care, love, emotions, respect and of course money to achieve a flourishing society.

Parent Sponsorship - Pros and Cons

It makes me sad and laugh at same time when everything is only about profit and loss for some people. Everyone who does not work or cannot work or they have special circumstances which stop them from working is not always a liability. If we go by that logic; children, disables, house makers etc...

Parent Sponsorship - Pros and Cons

I don't know what you are trying to convey. It was claimed that CIC wants to verify your employment but fact is CICdont ask for employment verification. If you go on EI, that will affect your ability to contribute hence you will not be able to sponsor.

Parent Sponsorship - Pros and Cons

Of course I never disagreed with that but my point was CIC does not ask for Employment verification. They only ask for NOAs. You can go through document checklist and verify if they ask for any job verification documents.

Parent Sponsorship - Pros and Cons

You keep repeating same thing over and over again I already answered that.

Parent Sponsorship - Pros and Cons

Sorry that is not true. In fact CIC do not even ask for your employment verification at all. They are only interested in NOAs from last three consecutive taxation years.

Parent Sponsorship - Pros and Cons

It is about how much taxes you are paying. Depending on the fact how much you are contributing to the Canadian society you are either eligible to sponsor or you are not. Why you think they look at three consecutive taxation year? Why not just one year? Why everybody is not eligible to sponsor...

As I said before, We have been contributing on their behalf. That's the reason Canadian government allows them to use that fund.

Parent Sponsorship - Pros and Cons

Exactly and Thank you Even though it does not apply in my specific case but I know many peers who send considerable about of money back home. Parent Sponsorship - Pros and Cons

Not just last three years, in my specific case I am meeting LICO + 30% since 2007. And fact is, we will continue to contribute enough to that 'pool' for reminder of their lives. Only reason why we are able pay taxes is because my parents spent all their saved money on our education. My parents...

Parent Sponsorship - Pros and Cons

I apologize if my comments came out 'angry'. But I do not appreciate an indirect personal attack. Would you also say, non earning dependent kids are leeching the system too?

Parent Sponsorship - Pros and Cons

The income tax we pay as a household is enough to cover for my parents medical. That's why I meet LICO + 30% from last flipping so many years. That's why Canadian government allows us to sponsor our parents.
  17. J

Parent Sponsorship - Pros and Cons

I understand I do not pay directly for my parents medical but fact is we are contributing enough to that pool on my parents behalf which makes them eligible to use that pool. Are you directly paying for your medical? Who are you to tell me my parents are leeching the system when our laws does...

Parent Sponsorship - Pros and Cons

Everyone's situation is different. In my specific case : 1. My parents are old and they need support, love and care. Yes they have friends and relatives back home but what we (me and my brother) can do for them nobody can. It's our moral duty to take care of them in their old-age. 2. My...
