May be they are trying to just reflect CIC-M situation there and most of the March applicants are receiving approvals from CIC-O? Also, that date probably just shows the oldest applications they are working on. Certainly, if they update the date as, say 21-Mar-2012... people who applied before...

I got one for my spouse ... it took 2 months from the day it reached them. Sent in March and got in May. Hope it helps

vignes... you should be able to get the PCC from Indian consulate in Sri lanka. Check what all documents they might ask you for that. They normally keep the passport with them until they issue you the PCC. All the best !

Peli... thanks for the clarification. I was basically going by the processing times they post on the CIC website. Manila says 9 months there. I am happy that it takes significantly lesser than what they post on their website. P.S: didn't allow me to post the link here for the processing times page

Oh, I thought PPR is where they request passports when all the review is done and they are ready to issue the visas... Actual review after receiving the passpost... is this just Manila or regular practice at all VOs? :-\

That's awesome! Sponsorship was approved May 1st, they received the package May 8th and they approved 10th. So, it took only like 2 days for them to approve? Amazing !! :)
