Yes, I called in last Friday to know the status of my application.
If it takes around two months to get an invitation, then probably I should start opening the book. One of my friends in Vancouver actually got his oath done in 10 months from the date of application, the fastest I have seen in...
Folks, my application was transferred to my local office on the last week of October. Does anybody know approximately how long it takes to get an invitation for test from the local office? My local office is Vancouver and presumably, they take longer than their counterparts in the east.
Folks, I was checking my status on CIC website this afternoon, but found "application received " part of my status is no longer there :o :o
Just wondering did any of you happen to see this weird thing in your status?
jrseee
Today I called in CIC, was told that they are preparing my file for background check. Not sure though what it means in terms of progress in processing my application.
received my study book last week after two and half months since they started processing my application. It's going to be six month for me in the next few days, patiently waiting for the next update :0 :0
No worries, amanshah21! It happened to me as well and took them around 3 months to have my file created. Perhaps in about two weeks or so, you should be able to see your status online.
Here was my post on this topic...

mtlBound: I am glad to hear that you got your application back and restored on their system. Really it gives me a glimpse of hope.
SenoritaBella: People who applied in Feb already saw a status update on e-cas, so there must have been something...
Thanks for reply NS_SJ. Much appreciated.
Actually I can see the signature on delivery online since I used CanadaPost Expresspost service, even I know the name of the signatory.
I'll call them again to see when they sent back (if it was) my application but I am not sure whether they will be...
Hi folks,
I sent my app on Feb. 18 and it was received by CPC-Sydney on Feb. 22. I called them this morning as I don's see any update on e-cas since then but they are now saying "they don't have my application in their system". I am sure they received my application as I used CanadaPost...
