    I think attaching a COPY of I-94 and i-797 is better so they would know you are currently maintaining legal status in the US.

    you are right Rossei. I too never saw a similar letter. but as he got both RPRF and PPR in same letter I was assuming that he just need to send what is asked in the letter and that nothing to worry much. but you are right its worth checking with them asap.

    I am thinking that it may be a standard letter that is sent to everyone while requesting RPRF. so you may just send what is asked in the letter along with the passport. and I think you will get your passport back soon with the visa. if you have any questions you may contact buffalo with a copy...

    good to know that they haven't asked for the workpermit. you might get the refund. I'm not sure about it though. I got my new H1b, so no worries for now but I hope i'll get my RPRF and PPR soon :-) Good Luck.

    Congrats chobee. Its really a good news. I'm happy for you. btw, what did you mean by workpermit? are you in canada? I was little worried too till last week when my H1b transfer was in process. I requested my employer to change it to premium and we got the approval in 10 days. Thanks god.

I don't think it will ever get updated. but in GCMS I could see that they received my medicals. something wrong with the online status. my H1b status with USCIS is still not updated online even after getting my approval. please keep...

    Hi yellowgreen. yes, we got only one week difference. is your application at buffalo? mine got transferred to NY on Aug 31st. I got my GCMS notes. looks like NY received it recently and nothing has started yet. It says 'Not Started' for many of the sections like security etc. Only Medicals...

    Congrats!!! thementor2008. Which visa office is processing your application? when was it transferred from buffalo? I think for Dependant under 22 yrs of age there is no RPRF to be paid. Refer "PERMANENT RESIDENT APPLICATIONS" section of the below document...

    TRUONGAN, Thank you again. I was not aware that friends who are in canada can request for it on behalf of me. I have ordered for it recently and they charged $40. Hope to get it in next 3 weeks.

    I think you do not need to maintain H1b status once you got nominated. there were people who left US and came back on B2 to do their stamping in Buffalo. Chigirl(looks like she has deleted her profile/posts on this form) is one of them. I remember she left to India and went to UK as she got work...

    Congrats!! Mine is also almost same time line with app submitted date was 20 days later than yours. Looks like Detroit is fast. mine was transferred to NY.
