when u say decision on PR ...you mean we should wait until the visa stamp on the passport or some steps in middle of processing like medical check or etc!? I am really confused and hope to find answer...

I think they are automatically return your application to the address you provided in your application within 1 months from rejection.BTW, why rejected?

Always you can find a good excuse. don't give up. however, since you are not going to sponsor your spouse it is better to let them know when you get your PR. if it is the case. Better to consult with a immigration lawyer first.
