I agree that person could be misinformed. Another thing is if you got nomination in June, I think AINP was issuing nominations only to those people who have job offer. This factor should be explored if there was any condition attached to nomination along with job offer.

Check with AINP on what you should do since CIC is very slow to respond. Medicals need to be done at CIC approved locations..no matter how far they are. No alternative. Good Luck!

I think contacting them again and requesting the details on hold up would be great. You should mention about the date for PPR and details about that cashiers check/money order... Good Luck..!

AINP H1B PROGRAM EMPLOYER OFFER LETTER

Alberta will issue a support letter and that will get you started on a PR process. The only difference between US H1B and this offer is, you can expect to get your PR in 2-3 (I hate to add that 3 there) years. In US, if you are starting for GC process right now, then get ready to wait for...

Nope...usually this status will change after you receive PPR. Then status will be "medical received". The tracking system is behind the real the status. :)

You got the PR and there is nothing at this moment blocks you from anything. As for the future no one knows.

Also chances are they will issue you a PR as opposed to work permit. This has happened in the past (with people who are done with their medicals) :)

I don't think you have 60 days grace period or anything like that. But usually no company informs USCIS electronically. Companies and USCIS both take their sweet time to update the status, along with that I don't think Canadian agency goes into USCIS db to check your status. It is the document...

Guys, Just wanted to update. I did my medicals on 16th July and reached at Ottawa on 22nd July. I sent a email and a fax with required documents about my first name spelled wrong on medical forms. Today I checked my online status and first name is corrected. The status remains same, "we started...

I had a spelling mistake in my first name. I noticed that day before my medicals. When I discussed that at doc office where I did my medicals, they told me that they get plenty of cases like that and they corrected that on the form. I went ahead with my medicals. Afterwards, I did send out...

Hi, I am confused about that myself. Priya86 mentioned that he sent that fees along with medicals. Since there is no form we are supposed to send back. How do we send this fees ? To pay this fees, there are options to pay online but for that i think we are required to get request. I think those...
