    PMM please help...

Yes. She does carry a substantial burden. Debts and children. On that we agree. I suspect that once she takes a job that she will incur child care costs on top of that. It is difficult to imagine that any entry level or even slightly above an entry level position will provide for her...

Entering Canada but not Landing after Visa Issued

I don't see any problem with that at all. As an American, your wife is free to visit Canada any time she wants to. She just needs to present her passport and/or drivers license at the border. They will ask her the nature of her visit. She tells them that she is an applicant for PR under the...

    PMM please help...

Right. She might fail, so she better not try. It costs too much and she would probably fail anyway and then end up with a big debt. Geeez! Opinion: It is far more risky to work for others in the long run. Whoever gives you a job today can take it away tomorrow. I can think of several...

Immigrating to another country is a whole new thing for most of us. You can't expect to understand what you need to do and what you can expect without studying the CIC information. Which means reading the material over and over again. It's complicated byt in you study the information, it...

Traveling back and forth from Canada to U.S. while application is in process

Outland is the best way if you need to go back and forth. If you aply inland, and visit the states, you will not be permitted to re enter Canada. It is illegal to live in Canada permanently without a pr visa. If you apply inland, you will not be deported while your application is in progress...

    HI

I think that you can withdraw your work visa application and apply through the family class / spousal sponsorship program. Keep in mind that Canadian immigration ( and no doubt Immigration services for all soverign nations) don't really care about personal situations. They dont have time for...

    sponsorship

If you landed in Canada one day over three years ago, your husband is freed from his obligation to support you or pay back any social assistance help that you receive. That might leave it on you. So take care on everything you do.

    totally confused

You are not allowed to move to Canada without a visa. You can visit for up to 6 months at a time without a visa. The Canadian border people will not let you enter if they think you are moving in permanently. They will not let you bring your stuff. If you do, you will be refused entry. If...

    Sponsor with a Criminal Record

Please forgive me. For some reason I was thinking that the criminal record belonged to the pr applicant. Hmmm! I don't know all about the requirements for sponsors regarding criminal records but I have read on the CIC website that you just can't sponsor while you are in prison. Since you...
