if I understood correctly you don't have permanent resident status in Canada, is that right? If that is the case then you cant sponsor your partner because only Canadian citizens or permanent residents can do that! I assume your partner, if you are married in any country where same sex marriage...

I guess it does because i know a person from spain that for the last two years is being reentering Canada every six month to work here for cash and immigration officers never say anything. Immigration Canada dont care!! I mean any body can come here for six month work for cash, leave for two...
