My wife, a Canadian citizen, applied for a proof of citizenship for our daughter. It's been months so I want to contact them to see what's happening. I can't seem to find a phone number for CIC to call from outside of Canada. Does anyone know how I can contact them? Thanks Ivana

Just pointing out that Vancouver has terrible weather, rains all the time. Winters might not be as cold but very humid. I think Calgary is a good option, I believe the economy will turn around.

My wife (the sponsor) worked outside of Canada for the last four years. We are applying inland, does she need to send Option C? Or should we include tax assessment from outside of Italy? Thansk

It looks like it takes about 4 months to get the OWP under the new pilot project. You can apply outland even if she is with you in Canada, she just can't work. Like I said before I know people from Serbia who got their PR in 5 or 6 months when applying outland.

I believe for OWP you need to pay $255. Can someone please confirm?

Most of the people that I personally know from Serbia, were able to get PR outland within 5 or 6 months. Everything goes through Vienna office.

that's awesome! I'm glad that they are following through at least with this aspect. Everyone was so suspicious, especially the senior memebers on here, about this pilot project. I'm glad to see it working.

facebook group members reported few OWP issued under the pilot project. Some applied in December and some in January.

Have you tried any placement agencies? In Vancouver, there is a place that helps out immigrants with job search, maybe Calgary has something similar.

There are some people who received it and they have send the two applications together in December or January. But def not a big number.

Does anyone know if a person can get OWP while waiting for an HC application to be processed? thank you!
