    Yes, you can do it. Yes, you need to submit all the supporting documents. I did a name change after submitting my citizenship application and it was fine. The rule of thumb is that earlier the better.

    I guess you need to submit a new application form. Call CIC and the call center agents will be able to help you out. Did you submit all the language evidence translated? You need to submit the evidences translated either in English or French.

    I am sorry to hear that but lets support each here. Me timeline is Application Date: Dec - 05 - 2012 In Process: February - 20 - 2013 RQ Received: April - 30 - 2013. Its so frustrating but what to do. We have to deal with it.

    Thank you so much all! I am not trying to lie to CIC. I want to be brutally honest with them. The reason why I ask this question is my wife was in another country for sometime and the only she came to Canada. So I need to write my wife's name twice and specify her stay. Little confused there.

    Its always better to inform CIC about your address change and they will decided what to do. Its highly not recommended to lie or hide any changes from CIC. All the best!

    I totally agree with nguyentu2001 & andriy155. You dont have to worry about your citizenship application at all. Dont be afraid. You are entitled to get this benefit. There is no statement saying that it would affect citizenship application. Its actually a good proof for your presence in Canada.

    I am so sorry about your situation. File a complaint with Canada post and see how it goes. When you sent your application package to Sydney, did you have it signed by someone in Sydney? Canadapost offers that option right? If somebody has signed then thats an evidence that CIC indeed received...
