I also hope things get moving soon. Our file has been processing in Havana since December 2015.. I feel like I am really starting to loose grip at times.

So appears everyone is waiting. I sure hope that there would be more than one person approving visas but who knows maybe there is only one.

Yes it appears they are on vacation till September 7th. My lawyer has another client waiting on visa, they went to the Canadian embassy in Havana and that's what they were told. That the Canadian person approving visas is on vacation and will be back September 7th.

Ours was December 2015. So I feel your frustration.

And when was your file transferred to Havana?

Ours was the same day. We were told it could take 2 weeks to a month for a decision depending on how busy they are.
