Congratulations! I also applied via Paper Application at VFS Manila. I'm still waiting for my result. I applied on 12th October and I never heard any response yet including medical since I did upfront. How would I know if my medical passed?

If you are in Canada already and have a study permit, all you have to do is apply for Study Permit Extension in there. Just be sure that you apply atleast 3 months before the expiration date of your Study Permit. Best of Luck.

Just change your travel date. It doesn't matter. For me, I received my visa 5 days from my application. I presented my travel plans with it. I know it can help you since it will provide strong ties from your country since you have a transportation going back home.
