you should use the address where you live now.... and get it changed on all your other information too since you will need to eventually anyway... unless you are going to move again soon.

you're allowed to travel for short time periods but i'm not exactly sure what they are.... maybe if you have a good reason for the travel and reason why you couldn't both be together. They may look at it on an individual basis... i am in kinda the same situation except we travelled together but...
