I'm seeing posts where people are saying they only do a fingerprint scan if your name shows up when they do the regular RCMP check. Which could be from having a past record or a common name . Is there any truth to this ??

Just a question about RCMP check... My hubby lived in Canada for over 6 months . Our application has been "in process"since nov 1 st. I understand that the RCMP check can take up to 6 months. Is there any way we can go ahead and send his prints ourself to RCMP? Or do we have to wait until asked...

Yayyyyyyy!!!! I just checked ecas and application is updated to " in process" and file is in process nov 7. I know it's no big deal but it made my day ;) ;) I will have to call up hubby now ;) oh the little things in life! Lol

Thanks ;) I knew he had to get one for all country's he lived in , I was just surprised he didn't need to get his own for Canada because when we first applied we automatically got our own for Canada and waited weeks for it to come in . Little did we know we didn't even need it lol .

Another question.. Is there an income requirement for sponsoring a spouse whose bringing a dependant child. I have one boy from a previous relationship and he does as well. So there will be 4 of us. I work as a full time nurse, and provided proof of income/job.
