The employmenty question was the only question raised and I had not had a chnage of employment though my wife had and she explained this. I think Chakrab asnwered it very well and that is regarding the ties and unusal travel habits ie/living in another coutnry whilst waiting. Be honest with...

Ask someone a question who has their oath next week

I did not get an RQ so can't answer questions about that but anything to do with the process please feel free to ask away. I have my Oath next week after taking my test Feb 21, in Calgary, and sent in the application originally June/2012. I had lots of missing stamps in my passport and my wife...

    Missing Stamp in Passport

I had 4 missing stamps for me and 5 for my wife, and one trip didnt show on CBSA report for my wife. The CIC officer didnt ask me anything about the missing stamps. Got oath 4 days after test. My advice, dont mention it but if it comes up have the CBSA documents available.

Did not advise CIC before leaving Canada for Months - Help Please

I personally wouldnt mention it at all. Has no impact on the residence calculations as after application and any dates travelled after the application where not mentioned in my interview. I spent over 3 weeks in UK wihtout telling anyone and got oath date no problem.

English native speaker - should I study for IELTS?

Hi, Thanks guys. Yes I checked out the tests online and indeed it's definitely not a test just to see if you can speak English. It is much more about grammar, ideas, IQ, processing speed, imagination and ability to perform under pressure. I can only imagine trying to do this if English wasn't...

English native speaker - should I study for IELTS?

I need to do IELTS to become a licensed immigration consultant and I am an English native speaker. Do you think I need to study or would my probability of passing be higher as its my first language, as I consider myself to be fairly intellectual so would like to think I can read, listen, write...

Hi, Did you receive RQ before the test? If so I wouldnt worry as my firend took his exam before you and still hasnt heard and he had RQ pre test. I think it must go through different channels to be looked at and is holding things up. Also dont worry about that form. I signed it the same as you...

Pre test RQ appears to hold up the application before and after the test.

Its interesting that I and 2 friends in town all applied for citizneship at the same Calgary Office. Friend 1 and 2 sent their applicatins in Jan 2011 to Calgary. Friend 1 got an RQ and friend 2 got it returned for incompleted application. I submitted mine through Calgary also in June 2012...

I just received Oath date 4 days after my test (calgary)

I've heard it can take 3-6 months. Last year it stopped in Calgary and was taking around 3-4 months. I think they go through spells where they speed through a city and then move on to the next one. Also I guess it depends on how many judges they have too. Fingers crossed you get yours soon ;)
