In my opinion, once she is illegal in the country I would not take the risk by going to a police station to get the finger prints, she might be apprehended. Instead I would go to a private fingerprinting business.

Rascojenkins, As long as your wife has never been arrested by immigration or any other authority, she should not have any problem with FBI. To obtain you FBI finger prints you just have to fallow the instructions on CIC website...
