    Still no news for me. Feeling a bit impatient. We've found an amazing house to buy, but can't even think about buying houses until we get some news on the visa. I'm scared someone is going to buy it!! Hopefully hear something soon! :D

    Ok, i've just figured it out. The CIC website explained everything. Hopefully they'll start on my application soon. Trying really hard to put it to the back of my mind, but it's hard!

    Where does the receipt number come from? Have they already sent a letter before sponsorship approval?

    Ok, more silly questions from me.... I just checked the CIC website for processing times and it says they are working on applications from 22 October and it will take 38 days. If they received my application on the 19th of november, then does that mean it will be ages until they start...

    Royal mail international recored delivery. It was about £11, but took about 10 days to get there.
