    ahmed I travelled 2 yrs ago to canada and transited thru UK for 5 hours- I did not get a Uk transit visa. But what i did was made a printout of the copy of the DATV exemption rule from the website and took it with me incase i was questioned. However... no questions were asked. ! It worked for me !

    Hi Nari, That DD is encashed means that they have opened my envelope and are now reviewing the application. So the next step is that they would send me an AOR. It seems that the average time for them to issuse the AOR is 8 to 10 weeks. Hope this helps

    Hi Reachmenow My application reached NS on 7th July . My DD encashed 17th Aug. So your post on the average processing time is quite correct. Now tell me - according to this - I must wait another 10 weeks for an AOR ? Tx for your assitance !

    Guys Pls give me more details on Inactive TB. I had mine 19years ago and am clear since then. Do I still have to go for the surveillance and what does this entail ? Will the medical check also take much longer due to this ??? Pls help Tx
