Proof of Relationship - What to include, how much?

About the chat logs, I was wondering how people on here have printed these. Do you copy the conversations and paste them into a Word document, or do you take screenshots? I wasn't sure if CIC would find copy/paste acceptable because people can edit them...

Question about Skype chats for proof

When using Skype chat messages as proof, how should I print them out? Copy/paste into Word, or screenshots? I've been copy/pasting some conversations into Word documents, which I like because it shows the dates and times for each message, but I want to make sure that this would be acceptable to...

CIC has changed the way you view processing times

Just to be clear, there is no cap for common-law apps either right? Do you know if there is a cap on family class at all (parents/non-spousal)? I've never been aware of this and not sure where to read about this specifically.

Does it matter if I only visited my boyfriend in Canada and he never came here?

I live in the U.S. Each time it was more convenient for me to travel to see him than the other way around, and while he will be visiting the U.S. sometime, it might not be before we start the application process. I have gone to stay with him three times in the last couple years. His parents...

EXTEND STAY TO ESTABLISH COMMON LAW SPOUSE HELP!

I thought the explanation of working toward common-law was a sufficient enough reason in CIC's eyes to grant extensions, and that most people going this route do this. Can anyone else weigh in?

    Medical Question

Ah, okay. I didn't think so based on the up-front info on the site but I also wasn't sure if there were hidden problems I wasn't aware of. Thank you, Scylla. :)

    Medical Question

I know it says on the CIC website that family class sponsorship applicants are exempt from the 'excessive demands' portion, so this should be the case even if the applicant has cancer in their history, right? I'm going to be sponsored by my common-law partner. I had thyroid cancer (that could...

Question about passport stamps and their meaning

Thank you, Scylla. I figured this was the case but I wanted to make sure because I've read some conflicting info on the subject, particularly this whole thing about black ink vs. blue ink. I've seen people say blue ink indicates that you've been taken into secondary (which I actually was on my...

Question about passport stamps and their meaning

I am a U.S. citizen with a Canadian boyfriend who I have visited twice now. I will be visiting again in July. I have a question about the meaning behind the two previous stamps I received. The stamps are in blue ink with the Canada Border Services Agency logo wrapped around the dates. The first...

    Visiting boyfriend from U.S.

Hello, I will be flying to visit my boyfriend in B.C. for the third time this coming July, but this time will be longer than the previous two visits. My first visit was for 8 days in December-January of 2013/2014, the second visit was 17 days in July 2014. This time it will be for 22 days...
