I am really confused why it is taking too much time. Many people getting their visa within 3 months.

Hi everyone, I applied on 9th july for my husband's open work permit and i am student in canada. We did not received medical request. Is anyone in same situation. One of my friend applied on 15th july and received medical request in october. Thanks
