They are talking about all the people who had applied prior to 2008. They returned all their application and $. It has nothing to do with us because we applied through Quebec. This is only for the federal skilled worker program...so don't worry!

] I agree with you...however I would like to add that once you receive the visa...you also have to satisfy the Border agent at the airport. He has the right to send you back on a plane even after you have your visa. I don't know if this has actually happened before...but all the publications...

Currently yes, the process is slow, but they are working on making if faster...so people who applied in 20011 and 2012 won't have to wait as long as we did. Plus, the reason applicants from 2009-2010 waited so long is due to the situation in Syria...before then the processing time was 17 months...

Yes and with the new process they have in place, you won't wait as long as we have (3 years and counting for the federal part). Goodluck!

Because in July they are opening the immigration process again. It was supposed to be in May but was pushed back. So no new applicants until July. So because of the backlog they put the immigration process on hold to get through the backlog.

Something weird just happened...I logged on to E-case using the UNI..because the B # wasn't working. It says the file was transferred to Bucharest on February 22, 2012. They removed the Beirut transferred which was also on Feb. 22, 2012. Could it be that our file was sitting in Bucharest this...

I think you're right about the 36 months, the visa officer told my mp that the 36 months we see on the website does not reflect the real situation.....I guess if they put the real number we would all fall off our chairs lol. Anyway I think caasde is right as well. They do realize that something...

My MP said that my fiance's file will be finalized in August...I guess they were right! I'm hoping August is the PR. I'm also assuming they extended his CSQ...I'm waiting on the CAIPS notes too...although it's pointless now but it's still interesting to see what they wrote.
