How long did the TRV application take?? My bf has been waiting 5 weeks

I don't know about visitor visas being their priority. I received the same email responce. "We will contact the embassy and as soon as we know we will contact you". Grrrrrrrrr. Waiting over 5 weeks for a visitors visa!!!

My bf has been waiting 25 working days (5weeks) and it still says "under consideration" from the Guadalajara VAC It's taking tooo long!

Which VAC office did you apply? It totally stinks!! My bf has been waiting 5 weeks for an answer for a visitor visa. Notmally takes 14 days. I'm thinking all applications are just collecting dust on a shelf somewhere!

did you check online there is an application tracker. I think that is the only way to know. otherwise, are they supposed to email you? My bf is also waiting.

The worst thing to read every day!!! Well on tuesday it will be 5 weeks that my bf will be waiting for the visitor visa. Their email said 25 working days. Normally it only takes 14. I just wish we knew if he was approved or not!

The strike situation is getting worse! And nothing is being done. What makes it even harder is the updated "average" processing times posted on the website states only 6 weeks for work permit and 25 days for TRV. If they can't make a decision within this time frame it makes me wonder how many...

That's ridiculous!! Why is it taking so long? Have you tried to check online the application tracker or send them an email? Maybe they need more info from you.

What if their are days that they don't work because of the strike. That was more my question. Hoping that they don't take too many days of strike action

So I was told it takes 25 working days for a TRV. How do we even know how long that is with this strike?! Nothing is posted on the website for the VAC offices in mexico except that it says 25 working days. Grrrrr!

I also belong to a union and I understand their frustration. To be honost a full on walk out with no services is what it's going to take. So I think we are a bit lucky that they are still working. It's all just bad timing for us. Nobody even knows much about the strike until they are affected...

I doubt it matters. They don't care that he has a flight or anyone for that matter. They just are overloaded. It is really unfortunate because it says on the website to submit your application 1 month before travel date!

My bf emailed the VAC office and they did respond the next day however, stating that his application was being reviewed and that it takes 25 business days plus delivery. Grrrrrr. That means it will be 1 day before his flight. I know there is a strike but just really bad timing for us.

I know it's ridiculous. Basically i heard that they will take even more drastic measure like pack up their families and fly back to canada! My boyfriend is waiting for an answer if he was approved for a visa applied June18 from the Mexico, Guadalajara VAC office. They said 25 business days. :(
