MP office got back to me. LVO-ND said they are still working on sept 2007 files (which is a blatant lie) and since the average processing time is 56 months they should not be contacted before that. My file is still in queue waiting for an officer. :(

Understandably so. Can't believe they have made the new process so demanding for sponsors but at the same time i understand their perspective as well, the healthcare system is bursting at its seams. Hopefully they can clear the backlog quickly now.

So its settled. CIC is "NOT" rejecting dependent. They are just explaining how the changes will affect the future applications. Hopefully this will ease everyone who is panicking cause of the misinformation.

The 5000 is the new applications that they would accept. doesn't effect the applications that are already in queue.

truly heartbreaking story. I hope somehow it works out for you. I was thinking that cic would actually prefer files with young dependents to add to the work force but i guess they only want people who fit the skilled worker criteria.

I think that is a trend we are seeing from lvo especially new delhi. a change in field is not looked upon kindly after application has been filed.
