Oh well I just checked in my mail and realized I received an AOR February 23rd, hehe. I'd completely forgotten about this. But my wife hasn't received anything. Is it normal?

Yes in all cases it's a good sign. Like you said, at least you know they are working on your application. My wife's application was received January 28 and still nothing from them, not even an acknowledge. I am still waiting for the GCMS notes. My wife sent them an email regarding the silence...

Thanks for the wishes mikey. By reading the notes of the last 2 refusals, I think the same as you: they just refused them based on the last refusals. There were a lot of inconsistencies in the notes (e.g. they said she had no travel records while we included a list of her last trips to 4...

Hi mikeymyke, I don't know how many posts you have read here, and also what I've written here exactly, but what I do know is that you are making assumptions and that these assumptions are false, no offence. I won't give the whole story because it's too long, but basically my wife applied for a...

When you think about it, it's kinda a joke that it all depends on the Visa Officer. You just have to hope to get lucky. I wouldn't mind too much about the excessive delays if it wasn't so hard to get into Canada as a tourist while waiting. I don't know if everybody's in the same boat, but for me...

I received the same email after contacting them about the delay. I have made the request for the notes June 26th. I wonder when we will receive them.

They say the waiting time is up to 24 months. This is completely ridiculous and if it's like the website, I think they put the worst case scenario (i.e. it is stated that processing time is 28 months for Singapore office for PR and usually from what I've seen it takes from 9-12 months, but it...

number of photographs and lay out HELP?

I don't remember where but when I was completing our application I remember very clearly that it was stated to keep the pictures loose and not to print them on a page. It won't affect the decision of course, but keep that in mind. It always helps to be nice to the officers :)
