Hi Aquib, The information you were provided is not correct. Every child should have a SIN number. Both our children (4 years and 10 years) got their own SIN numbers. You should go back and get a SIN number for your daughter. 9j

I am not sure I understand your question fully. I am assuming you mean a temporary health insurance cover for you while you are awaiting eligibility for health coverage in Canada, right? In that case, If you are coming as a PR, it s highly unlikely that medical insurance from your home country...

No you don't have to do this. The immigration officer will complete this for you as part of your landing process. 9j

Hi, What does your current status say on ecas? Mine is still showing the same details as it has since we got our visa: - "Decision Made: A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision." 9j

Hi, That is quite interesting. I didn't know ecas updates show the date you arrived/landed in Canada. So when did the latter part (the landing date) reflect on your ecas? Mine is still showing same status without the landing date. I guess you can expect your PR card in the post soonest then 9j

No, we didn't have to complete the PR application form ahead of our landing. To the best of my knowledge the CBSO/Immigration officers complete that for newly landed applicants as part of the landing process. That was the case for us, and it took us less than 15 minutes for a family of 4. 9j

Still Waiting. Landed on 27th August. Based on the CIC website, it is now taking up to 61 calendar days to process PR cards for first time applicants. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-card.asp Current ecas status is "decision Made". The home address changed to our Canada...

Hi 4can, I am back at my base for the time being. We only stayed 2 weeks in Canada after completing the landing. The plan is to do the final relocation after the exam. Wish you all the best with the PLAR 9j
