I've been waiting to hear something from them for month now, personally I know a couple of them who share my timeline and have become citizens in the past 30 days. So, unless they are really falling behind, I don't see why having a same application time line would cause such a test/oath timeline...

I think what is hurting people here is lack of transparency and commitment from CIC, not the wait itself. I bet if CIC told applicants we would need "X" number of days to finalize your application (be it 10,100 or 200) people would keep themselves busy, try not to worry about it for "X" number...

Whats with all the random IPs (well into the last week of April 2014) while a lot of people are still waiting for a "DM" (Jan-Feb-Mar) ?? Doesn't make sense at all. Do they even have a standard operating procedure? Or is it all on the whims and mood swings of the case processing worker?

Whats with all the random processing of files? March and April applications going to "IP-DM" status, while Jan and Feb applications are still in the status of "AR-IP-DM". Different VO different processing time maybe?

Jan-Feb-March applications are going to "IP"-"DM" currently, since you are an April applicant, you should see some kind of progress by the end of October or early November.

Looks like the bare minimum time for an application to go to the status of "DM" from "IP" is about a month. That is what I've derived from looking at the spreadsheet anyways. Unless they've decided to go back and finish up 2013 applicants, just like they've left them dry for a some time now...

Updated, btw, looks like DM status gets updated on ECAS right away unlike "IP" or "Application Received" which mostly get updated on Tuesdays.

I guess neither, VO either looked at the application over and over again (OCD) or he forgot it was too soon to finalize it.(Alzheimer's).

Looks like all of the "DM"s were within a week from going to "IP" and the rest are stuck in "IP", not sure if there is something to it. May be straightforward applicants and not so straightforward applicants?

April applicant and a PPR already ?? (a bit against the PPR trend for the year 2014, the PPR now comes in after application goes to DM status). Has the sponsored applicant traveled extensively outside India?

This adds more fuel to my new pattern theory. April 1st week application went to "In-Process" status, while most of the Jan-Feb-March applicants are still waiting to go to "In-Process" or are already "In-Process" or to "DM" status.
