Hi Ringlands, No update in ECAS or MyCIC. Still saying that Background check in progress and status is Open. ECAS saying application received. Look like they didn't include me in the 34k applicants. :(

I think the time when CIC received your application file (mention in AOR1), if your wife has a valid visitor visa when CIC received application then for sure your wife has a implied status. As far as I know that's the rule no matter when you are going to receive your OWP. According to timeline...

Hi Ringlands thanks. I called CIC and they told me that they mailed OWP on July 27 and I received by mail on August 2. no email.

Just received OWP, August 2, 2016. Application Received April 1, 2016 AOR1 May 17 and AOR2 June 29.

you can change your address by yourself using MyCIC account or using sponsor account using "check application status" You can also request to CIC by using "Case Specific Inquiry", this option will take some time though.

Did you apply for OWP? If yes, perhaps they sent you the OWP. It's a guess. If not, then may be they are asking for more information but I am sure they are not going to return your file. AOR means your application package is complete and there is no missing documents or signatures.

Hi, I used application no and family name, followed by passport details. Using all this information system will search your application, when search will complete there will be button saying link your application, click it, it will link your application in myCIC account.

Hi All, This is Alam and my wife sponsoring me who is Canadian. I link up my application (applicant) using myCIC account. But my wife can't able to link up her application (she is the sponsor). There is no option for sponsor. Is there any possible way that my wife can link up her one ? Bests, Alam
