You don't need to withdraw your FSW application to apply under CEC. You can easily make it parallel. Btw be optimistic about 8 months processing time.

Guys have you seen recent updates at cic? They have add one more column for the processing time of the applicants after June 2010. Actually it says that processing time for Ottawa CPP takes about 8 month which is obviously not true as we are waiting for 6 months already without even medical request.

CIC doesn't say anything, thus I consider this info (about AEO delays) rumors in the light of the new rules coming into effect in Jan of 2013. Unfortunately I don't have any updates yet.
