Sponsor received a mail (snail mail - sent one week ago) from CIC to tell that we have to apply for CSQ from Quebec. Sponsor's Ecas is showing that application is in process from late January, 2015.

Hi anng, We have applied in April and the applicant received the AoR via email on August. Neither the Sponsor nor the Applicant can enter into the ecas system as of today. Hope that this info will help you to relax a bit.

Hello, I just received the email from CIC. They received my application on 7th April though Canada post notified me it was 4th April. Anyway, I am happy that they are working faster now.
