I'm hearing mixed messages about this, so I thought I'd ask : After my wife gets her stage 1 approval for an outland spousal application, can she then apply for OHIP? Her friend claims she was able to do this, but we're hearing from others that it can't be done until after stage 2 is finished...

More complications lol. Applying for the visitor visa extension for my wife, I see that her passport expires March 2015! Since we're switching to an outland application, it means that stage 1 will be done by that time, but not stage 2. So does immigration Canada have any reason to extend her...

Taiwan is visa-exempt as well. When I say 'entering with a visitor visa', I just mean that immigration is letting her in for a period of time with the understanding that she is only visiting (ie. not for work or study).
