I called CIC today and confirmed with the agent that CSQ holders are eligible to apply for a renewal of their Work Permit of Open (not the Closed Work Permit) without requiring the employer to pay Compliance fee etc, and she further provided me with the following information: Work permit...

If your employer has paid the Compliance fee and provide you with some numbers, then you can go. Otherwise I believe you'll not be able to get the WP since it will be required for them to process the request at the border.

Thanks for the advice, but the major issue here is that how can I make sure my file is opened by a VO and he is actually processing my application?? Otherwise, all other actions will look vague to me at the moment since no one touch my file......

I've submitted PCC from my home country and this is the only one other than Canadian one that is required, and the PCC submitted should have expired if it is treated as one year validity since I got it from my home country at the beginning of June, 2016.

Type: RCMP Screening Status: No Reportable Trace Validity Date: 2017/11/07 BUT it still shows that Type: Criminality Status: In Progress Medical has Passed and valid until 2017/12/09; Then nothing else since then......

Medicals : Passed Criminality: In Progress Eligibility : Not Started Security : Not Started Almost 14 months have passed by the end of this month, but Criminality is still In Progress while both Eligibility and Security are Not Started yet......
