Hi, I think you can give them your receipt number. My app was received on Aug 2nd but no sight of AOR till now. I'll wait till the end of this week and my husband will call CIC. It's pretty frustrating when you dont know if your app is returned or not....

It's ok to hand write the date because we did the same thing. we gathered all the required documents and forms and only wrote the date when we sent the application. It wouldn't cause any problems. :)
