Alright guys, saw first ghost update this evening since application moved to IP2 on November 28. AOR - September 24 A week ago background has not started as per the agent.

Once you check your status after the update, the status goes back to being "submitted". It wont stay "updated". Your file may have been approved. Try calling CIC to find out if the agent can you give any more clarity.

I think this is just a generic message that's tied to the number of weeks still left for the application to be processed. I have the same AOR and right when my application reached 12 weeks remaining, I noticed the very same message on my status. Your application seems to be moving fine, IMO...

After 11 days, called the CIC again today and the status hasn't changed. AoR- Sept 24. Criminality, Medicals - Passed Eligibility - Met Security - Not started File still languishing in Nova Scotia CIO.

So you are saying that CIC works in mysterious ways just like the God- Hard to predict anything concrete until it actually happens :P

Thank you Tobs. My travel history is super uncomplicated IMO ( haven't traveled outside my home country and the US), so hoping that as & when it starts, the process goes quickly. But until then, it's kinda fun to keep waiting and trying to interpret their silence as much as I can :P

I was a initially little worried that my file is still stuck at CIO. Thank you so much for the input. I will wait for a month and if I still don't hear anything, will think ordering GCMS notes !
