Generally yes, but I have observed folks on here being rejected around the 6/7 month mark with a procedural fairness letter giving them a chance to rectify whatever the problem was. I doubt it would happen as late as 9 months but you never know what mischief IRCC might get up to next just to...

$1.40 a litre, surely? $1.40 a gallon, that would be incredible value!

I'm still here too, no progress. Hitting 9 months on Sunday, strange to consider I could have created an entirely new human being in this time.

Soft landing - Can I stay in Waterloo?

It's an ABBA track. Sorry, I have nothing constructive to contribute to your questions as I don't know anything about the place, the song just popped into my head when I read the thread title.

COPR, Softlanding and everything else (British National) - pls help

Sorry, I'm not sure this is correct. The email is stating quite clearly that you don't need to courier your passport. You would have provided a digital copy when you created your application, and the UK is an exempt country so there shouldn't be any need to physically send your passport.

Congratulations! You must have uploaded your passport with your other documents in the beginning when you applied, remember? As far as I understand, UK is one of the countries that doesn't have to physically send the passport away to the office.

I feel for both of you, I'm just generally fecked off now with the whole thing from my own situation and then reading this only makes it worse. Sunday marked 8 months of waiting for me. I'm sure we'll all look back in a year's time and laugh about this when we're living the dream in Canada.

Quite possibly, but given the haphazard manner in which the whole establishment seems to conduct its affairs I'm more inclined to believe UKDreamer's theory.

But that's just untrue, the agent I spoke to said during the call that she was looking at my file and it showed eligibility not met and was able to tell me the specific reason. I don't understand this lack of consistency and accountability, they're all over the place.

Yeah, if it's your application and you want your sister to apply for it on your behalf you'll need to sign the form then send it on to her. She'll then have to fill in her details as the designated representative on the same form, and have a copy of her PR card or citizenship/passport to attach...

I had the same issue. To be fair, they were going through their company-wide technical meltdown that was all over the news at the time. I didn't want any delay so I just closed my accounts with them there and then and transferred the funds into my RBS accounts (who did provide a letter). I...

In theory yes, absolutely, but sometimes life's not quite that straightforward. As in my case, I explicitly requested the details from my employer as laid down by IRCC and my employer flat out refused to list job duties on the letter as it was against their policy. Who am I to change their policy?

16th Jan. I found out about the RR on the 8th and it took a week to get an updated letter. I know realistically speaking it could take a very long time before they review my file; I just read about the poor people still waiting in the June 2017 thread! It's just so much harder to take because...

I got hold of a helpful agent at the call centre during my second call on 8th Jan who told me over the phone. I've had no unprompted communication from IRCC since my meds were passed on 30th June last year. My portal page has looked exactly the same since then (with the addition of the...

Ha, I wish! That would at least be something. Nope, I've been stuck in "IP1" since "MEP" on 30th June. Not even so much as a friendly ghost update this whole time. As far as I know: Eligibility: Not Met - Review Required. Like I said, I uploaded revised documents which should satisfy the...

Hey folks, UK applicant checking in. AOR June 17th, still waiting in Review Required. I posted my story in the June thread if you're interested. I can particularly sympathise with OptimisticEric, I quit my job in November because I thought I'd have my visa by now! Have a decent weekend all.

Howdy! So I've finally gone and created an account after silently lurking in this thread since ~November. You obviously don't know me, but I feel like I know most of you and have been an invisible passenger and loyal groupie for all your tumultuous journeys towards PR. I've shared your...
