Hi! So uk vfs is opening on 27 july and people are saying that you can give biometrics in the UK vfs as well for Canada study permit. Are they right?

thats strange my funds got transferred to CIBC in 10 Hours and received the GIC in 12 hours. I sent the money in the start of May when the covid was at peak.

SO you do need a FC account to send money for GIC purpose. Every bank can handle FC account so in that regard he is lying to you. a USD FC account will do the trick you don't need a CAD FC account

so you can show your bank statement 4 million or plus is the suggested amount or if you have any properties to your name you can evaluate them by a a property dealer on his stamp pad. but ill say sds have good chances of approval and you dont need to show any proof. best of luck

from where are you applying and I would suggest using CIBC instead of scotia bcz scotia wasted my whole month on petty issues and when I transferred money to CIBC I received my GIC in 12 hours.

well CIBC offers you to pay in different currencies currently they don't offer in PKR you can also transfer the 10000 CAD in USD but their exchange rate is 4-5% higher then the market so it is preferred for Pakistani students to pay in CAD for this they charge a 1.5% fee which is 150 CAD on top...

CIBC started accepting Pakistani students in March. and the process is easy and they are one of the biggest banks of CANADA so no worries on the accessibility side as well. and they don't take 10 days to process your payment just one day. Scotia is just a headache.
