I totally agree. Let me know what can I do. Fed up of the long wait, been more then a year and still waiting, we both are frustrated and after 1 whole year and a month past they asked for additional documents and soon will be followed by a remedical test and I know 2-3 months will pass waiting...

In April my area MP said that background check in progress, eligibility has not been started yet and Medical has been passed and May 30th got request for explanation as why we waited from 2010 to 2017 to get married. so lets see now.

Yes, I am April 2018 applicant. Background check in process and status shows in Process. On 30th May asked for additional docs. 1st Medical is expiring this month. Lets see what will be the next step... in 2-3 days will submit requested documents.

I don't think you need to worry about it. But, for your satisfaction give a call where you submitted your application they must have given any number or tracking to follow up.

Can anybody please suggest me, I check my application status in CAS. My lawyer receive emails ( last email was for medical & additional docs June 2018) and on CAS it just shows in process since July 2018. If i create my account on Gckey will it b better to see what is going on with my spousal...

Does progress bar or time remaining for your case shows on Gckey account?

If they asked for additional documents, its better to give on time or before, you gonna submitted via mail/courier? If its documents send it via webform or on Gckey that will be easy and on time.

My case is still in progress. So fill out the form and submit the passport, nothing else is required.

Usually after 7-8 months they start background and in most cases it takes long or done in less time. Your case is almost done, which is great satisfaction for you, as once they receive ur medical & PC they will give decision and request for passport.

If they did not asked or if its not mentioned in the letter means its not required, (do read the letter as you say its 7 pages carefully n twice) they just asking for passport submission for visa & not every case require biometrics.
