Same here my IP status was February 27th and I'm still waiting. I requested for my ATIP and i just got them and it's showing that my test is pending due to clearance ARGHHHHH!! And its in Mississauga now. I guess once that's completed I'll get an invite....TOTALLY SUCKS

At the Sydney office, officials will review your application and the required documents and citizenship fees to ensure they meet the minimum processing requirements. As for Local office they will complete the necessary steps for a citizenship officer or citizenship judge to make a decision on...

The lady wasn't that helpful arggggggh! They might still need to do background check even if its been moved to local processing office. But yes it's almost finalized, just waiting on test invite now.

That Office is apparently closed now. My friend was referred to the Dundas office in Etobicoke when she went there last week. Not sure if they used to process citizenship cases there though. Work pernits for sure coz i got 1 from there back in the day.

It's illegal to study in Canada without a STUDY PERMIT if you are out of status. At this point talking with a lawyer and mapping out the best way forward is the BEST ADVISE. Good luck and keep us posted on what your lawyer recommends if you don't mind!!! A lot of people in situations like this.
