One Visa Approved; Second Application Pending due to DLI Change

Hi all, I had two questions. So, I have one SP that has been approved in Mar 2022 for Western University. I have now applied for another SP (fresh) because I got admitted to University of Toronto. My old SP and new SP application are for the same intake - Fall 2022. The old SP was issued for 3...

    [URGENT] changing DLI before stamping..

In a hypothetical situation, in case the new SP gets refused, what happens to the previously approved SP? Can we still travel on that? Just wondering.

    [URGENT] changing DLI before stamping..

@wonderbly - is it for sure that we will have to submit our passport for the already approved visa? I am actually in the same boat as @Aravind1998 . I also read through your earlier posts as well about DLI change and the new SP application. The OPR for my previous study visa approval said that...

August 2021 applicants, let's gather here

If you have the login details, just see where there is a field in the application portal asking for GIC separately. If yes, then it's an SDS file, else, non-SDS.

    Early Visa Application

Hi everyone - I want to begin my visa application and I am already done with my upfront medicals. I have an admit from Western University. I got the admit for Sep 2021, however, due to COVID and interruptions, I had to defer it to Sep 2022. Other than the GIC certificate, I think I have the...

Medical Exam update (India) | Stopping medical appointments until further notice from may 16 onwards.

Hi, thanks for your reply. That’s an option, but I don’t really want to push that. That’s the ideal situation, but let’s see what happens. I’m just confused whether I should now approach non-SDS route or should continue to apply under SDS with an LoE stating that upfront medicals have been...

Medical Exam update (India) | Stopping medical appointments until further notice from may 16 onwards.

But given my admit is for Sep 2021 intake, I was thinking that SDS will help speed up the process. With this recent decision of suspension of upfront medicals, I am not sure if I'll be able to get a decision before Sep 2021.

    Upfront Medical Suspension in India

Thanks for your reply. I have posted a tweet to IRCC, hoping if they could shed some light on this as well otherwise I'll just proceed with non-SDS.

    Upfront Medical Suspension in India

Thanks for your reply. If I attach my GIC and proof of tuition fee payment along with my bank statements under non-SDS, will it improve my chances of visa approval? I wanted to go under SDS category due to its high approval chances.

Medical Exam update (India) | Stopping medical appointments until further notice from may 16 onwards.

Hi, do you think we could attach a Letter of Explanation stating that the upfront medical examination was suspended? It's not our fault, right? I have been under the impression that SDS applications are reviewed favourably. I am in the process of getting GIC and tuition for first year done, and...

    Upfront Medical Suspension in India

Hi, Canada in India (their twitter handle) posted that all upfront medical exams have been suspended until further notice with effect from 16 May 2021. I was looking forward to applying under the SDS category student visa which requires upfront medicals. With this tweet and suspension, what...
