My background check is still showing Your application is in progress.We will send you a message when we start your background check. Medical passed on 18th Sept. What stage is this! Many have posted that there background check is started. But mine is not.

Well! I can tell you from my experience from last year. I got passport request on 26 sept and sent the passport on 28 sept. They approved my application on 11 oct. Thats what it is showing in my cic account. And around a week more to receive passport with trv. Hope this helps!!

There was a option to upload proof of finance. Cic website says I have to upload a letter stating that I am applying through CEC. So there is no need to show proof of funds.

You have to apply for temporary resident visa through your cic account Under apply to come to canada there is option to start an application. Once your application is approved you have to send ur passport to ircc for visa stamp Online approval for trv takes 1-2 days
