There is always RCMP-accredited fingerprint company which are doing exactly the same service but because it's private it's kind of faster tho. I did it for my PR and I got it within 7 business days. But in your case I think fingerprint company communicate directly with CIC.

Yeah verbal timeline is totally different than reality... It's totally depended on your city and number of applicants.

I did my test in Mississauga office this week. Very fair and usual. No timeline for Oath yet... Officer said probably 4-6 weeks.

It usually takes 3 business days to receive anything by mail from CIC. You should wait for your mail/email before jump to any conclusions or further actions.
