I'm in several What's App groups and haven't seen this. Someone claimed yesterday to be an October applicant but it turned out they were really September (they were going by their AOR rather than when the application was received). However there have been a lot of September applicants reporting...

It's based on the actual date of the medical. For example if you had your medical on Sept 15th, 2017, then you would have to arrive before the Sept 15th, 2018 (I'm not sure if the drop dead date to arrive in Canada is Sept 14 or 15).

I believe it is based on the date that your medical will expire. You will have to land in Canada before the expiry date.

Also September as a bunch on one of the Whats App group have reported getting either Pre-Arrival, decision or PPR.

Has the sponsor done an enquiry with their Member of Parliament? From what I've read information relating to the status of the application is received much faster than requesting GCMS notes.

Not from NDVO though. As far as I can tell from the message board and various What's App groups roughly 3 from September have PPR and one from November received DM on either Thursday or Friday of last week. None from October have reported getting any updates and August hasn't been completed yet...

From what I've heard from various What's App groups they are still finishing off August and I believe only 3 September applicants have received PPR so far (from what has been reported). I believe the requirement for the photos is that they must have been taken without the last 6 months. If your photos are only a couple of months old then you should be okay as long as they meet the required specifications.

One of the What's App groups I'm on three September applicants have received PPR today (DM and Pre Arrival yesterday). It looks like they may have started with September but you can never really tell with NDVO. Hopefully you may hear something positive in the next few days.

From what I've read on this message board, it appears that GCKey does not get updated until they dispatch your passport with the visa. This is relating to what I've read regarding New Delhi Visa Office, it may be different with other visa offices.
