I had the same request, and it took about 3 weeks for them to change it. I also didn't get an update by email or in my account.

Unlucky! Second attempt this morning, and in the queue now (37 minutes, about 20 to go now :P) I also want to check if they have my correct email. I called them on August 20, and sent in a CSE to change it, but no response yet.

You need to stop panicking about rejections. Basically every post you mention "rejection". Ghost update can be just before PPR email, but doesn't have to. Just sit back and take it easy.

While I understand people worrying, everyone is losing their heads when their application hasn't made any "progress" within 2 weeks. Note that 80% is being handled within 6 months, and the people who applied in June and have their PPR already are lucky bastards :). 13% of the June applications...

Don't they also handle the full applications in Ottawa?

The Call center agent mentioned it was in progress. My online status is: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

So a quick update from my side. I called CIC today and spoke to a very helpful agent. He said my eligibility is currently "Recommended Pass", and my background /criminality check is in progress. Visa Office is Ottawa. Any insight in how much longer :)?

I'm probably going to call on Monday. Where does "eligibility is under review" fit in the process? Is this before or after BG / Criminality check? Or do these happen at the same time?

Yes probably. I hope I get my PR before my current expires though, but guess I'll have to start looking into it.

Mine is valid until halfway November, so I really hope I have it before then (preferably by October to not mess up some travel plans). My ADR is still at "We are reviewing the additional documents you provided.". Looks like my application might be going a little slower than yours

I'm in the same boat (AOR, June 2nd, CEC). However, I didn't provide work experience outside of Canada (didn't need it, only personal histroy). I think my problem is my long travel history...

I've uploaded my additional docs a few weeks ago, not even in the "we are reviewing" phase, still "The additional documents you provided have been uploaded." :(
