They did On April 20th. When I mentioned when shall I expect the next step the agent told me you're far away, this whole process can take up to 24 months :S

Yes i took many trips back home (Egypt) and some to the US.

I got a fingerprint request too in April and sent it to my local office but haven't heard back from them since then. I changed my name too, maybe thats why, no it makes sense.. Whats your local office? Mine is Mississauga.

Mississauga is the slowest ! My file was transferred March 3rd and i havent heard anything since then, i even had to cancel my vacataion cuz i didnt want to go and miss the letter that never showed up !!!!!!

Does this sound normal? Cancelling all the tests and then oath ceremonies? Anyone else smells something fishy?

You're not alone ! I'm still waiting too.. Got a passport stamps translation request in early Feb and a Fingerprint request in April.. Heard nothing back from them since them.. Had to cancel my vacation waiting..local office is Mississauga.

I'm really curious, what could have happened for them to cancel all the tests scheduled? That throws everybody else's timeline off.. 3 and half months since transfer and nothing in the horizons..

Same here; Application Received: Oct 30 In process: Jan 7th Passport translation: Jan 28th (sent back Feb 10th) Transferred: March 5th Fingerprints: April 10th (sent back April 20th) And silence since then.. Frustrating !!

No it has been transferred, most probably its a new "update" the CIC is implementing in line with enforcing the new Bill, this transferred line disappeared on my eCas too last Friday, some people got it back and some didn't.

I Think the issue with the transfer line disappearing was just a system update, Even the language changed; my new eCas status shows the following: We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on October 30, 2014. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt...
