I don't think sending an e-mail would hurt, I think he/she would only get annoyed if they get requests to do more than what they are assigned to do, and we have every right to ask! Its also been quite some time since your last correspondence. Let me know how it goes. Fingers crossed!

Oh I hear you on this! I have been doing the same thing... I've been keeping busy by cleaning/organizing/cooking and spending LOTS of time with friends (they can always count on me to be a lunch date). I finally decided to go to the states to spend some time with family (since my COPR is being...

Hmmm...it is a bit interesting that all 3 of our cases included an additional request for the FBI check when we recieved our PPR! I did not include the original certificate but luckily had it with me and mailed that same day with PP copy. I e-mailed asking I should still send in my original or...

How funny! Lets hope he/she doesn't have many more on their plate so they can get crackin' on ours! My eCAS still says Application Received as well...I check it ALL the time but I think you are right that our officer doesn't update eCAS much. I would think you should hear/see something any day now!

The July 2013 Outland Applicant Chill Spot.

Prices are ridiculous! That's why we had to buy outside of the city. I am waiting for my COPR to arrive so I can go Canada and land and start WORKING! Buying a house is more difficult with one income... :o Will keep you posted on the landing process in Vancouver! Hopefully it comes sooner...

The July 2013 Outland Applicant Chill Spot.

Hey All! I am a January Applicant but I decided to visit your thread (the name got me!) and noticed a few of you are in my 'hood - I am a US citizen/applicant being sponsored by my hubby and when it is all over we headed to Coquitlam BC where we just bought a house! Lets all plan a PR party...

So...I got my PPR along with a request for my original FBI clearance on the 24th of July...I sent both documents (copy of PP and FBI letter) express overnight to Ottawa. They were received/signed for at the mail room exactly 24 hours after I received that e-mail. Do you think I am looking at...

    Spousal sponsorship

I applied outland, and I would suggest this option because you can have the flexibility of traveling in and out of the country during processing, and you can still work in the US while waiting to save some funds. With outland you can also be in Canada with your BF anytime on a visitor status...

    Spousal sponsorship

Hey! I was in a similar situation a couple years ago when I moved from Cali to Vancouver to stay with my boyfriend. I spent hourrrs looking up info on how I could work, etc not knowing anything about the process. We were in an LDR for one year prior to me moving. The best advice I got was if...

Darn...the signature on my e-mail just said "Case Officer" but thanked me for my interest in Canada as well. One thing that did make me laugh was UPS told me my passport copy/FBI letter was signed & received in the VO mail room by a "Mr. Bean". Hehe Amikety, hopefully you will get something...

Advice - FBI Clearance Validity Date??

Some FBI clearances take up to 11 weeks to get returned to you...it all depends on the volume of requests they have at that time. If you don't hear anything by that mark then something may be up, but I am sure it will just take some time. Since FBI (US) is completely separate from CIC, I...
