I guess the fact that we got married in October and filed for sponsorship 2 months later. I am pretty sure this is just an interview to see the genuineness of the relationship because there really is nothing else. I am waiting for the gcms notes as well.

I do agree with lawyers being idiots....I know mine is for sure as I have to do half the work for him and the fact that he outsources his admin team who files application on my behalf to another country....its been a horrific experience!

You are outland but the fact that you are already in canada gives less priority over people who are not in canada. This is said from pretty much all the lawyers I had spoken with.

Hey, thanks for the reply and update. Funny thing is, according to our lawyer the file was sent to US initially, I assume it was sent to LA I am not sure if it did go to US or stayed in Ottawa that is still a mystery. But now that you mentioned, I feel our file was initially in LA and we got a...

That is aweful, from states to Canada should not take that long at all. In your case, you would almost be reaching the timeframe given on the cic website for 22-26 months in LA. It should never take that long, unless at that time there was a backlog or strike had affected it. Did cpc-o or LA...

I agree with you on that! Would you happen to know if an interview is requested, if it is for both or just one person and to get an interview date is generally how long for sates? Once again, thanks for all the help and support

That is really the only thing I can think of. Its funny online it states that the process time is 26 months in LA. I hope even though our file is open and being touched, the wait does not start from beginning and should almost be complete if anything, as it has already been 8 months. I have also...

There is absolutely nothing on her file at all. She has been in US for over 10 years and finished her education and is now working full time. However, she is not a citizen yet....I am assuming this is the delay perhaps

Hi guys, I am a Canadian citizen and sponsored my wife from US. I submitted my application on Dec 3rd and January 7th I got my sponsor's approval. It mentions on ECAS that application is recieved and medical results have been recieved as well. There has been no update on ECAS since then, other...

I actually just realized that our file never even went to LA to begin with, it was sent to cpc-o after I got my SA. I was told that cpco is considered outland. I was under the impression that my file was sent to somewhere in states after missisauga after a month. So basically, after all docs...

Thats great...very similar dates in my case as well. Anyday now....has become a daily ritual to check the ecas. Would you know if the COPR is requested before the ecas is updated or other way around? I ask this because my lawyer is not the greatest in passing on the information to me in timely...
