Hey shortyp2000, I honestly thought that when they sent AOR that meant they started processing. So i guess now it makes a little more sense. This whole process is horrible for impatient people like me. I don't know how you all stay so calm. I guess this is my patience101 introductory course ...

Thanks Chucky44! I feel a little better. Clearly I didn't quite understand their processing times. I'll give it some more time (though I don't actually have a choice)

Good night all, I hope everyone is doing well. I'm starting to panic it's been over the estimated time for me to hear a response re: SA. I'm starting to wonder if something was wrong and they sent the package back. Almost every night I check to see if there's a parcel slip at my door. Does...

Hey LMYM, I think in total it was about $9700JMD. That I believe was for the Ceremony and some other documents hubby needed ordered. It may have changed now. Heres a link that may help http://www.rgd.gov.jm/products-and-service/registry-wedding I would call and ask what is needed keep in mind...

My baby sis is filing for her husband who is in Canad now. They were told that your assigned UCI never changes. It stays with you much like your social insurance number. So yes your UCI will remain the same.

I'm hoping more staff means that too. I looked online and processing time went up by 2 days. At least it's not increasing by weeks and months.

I got married at the RGD in Mobay. The decor was interesting to say the least. Our officiant was awesome though. I loved my ceremony I don't regret having a registry wedding one bit.

My understanding of the article is that non-Syrian REFUGEE applications will not be delayed. They didn't say that about non-refugee applications. It's almost inevitable at this point that there would be a backlog further to the one that currently exists and therefore a delay on processing...

Hello LMYM, I would do the simple ceremony first and plan for a larger one in the future. Everything is a process (I married at the RGD in Jamaica) getting married in itself requires some document collection and running around. no one has to know you're married until you want them to. You can...

Welcome TD Morris!! It's a journey of patience for sure but thankfully most persons don't take 25 months to get through. All the best with your application. You're in the right place if you have questions.

Hey Chucky44, I've been pondering the same thing. I'm pretty sure it means a delay for "non-urgent" applications. Every now and again they stop processing applications for months because of one reason or another. This definitely would be one of those reasons. They will probably have applications...

Welcome Toni876, I'm pretty new here myself. This forum is a wealth of information and knowledgable persons. I've asked so many questions and gotten lots of great answers. Everyone on here is patient and understanding. I realized quickly that when users said its like a family it really was...

Thanks lijasha, I'm trying. To know someone else felt like that I feel more normal. Hubby makes it seem like I'm too dramatic (which I am but this time it's warranted).

Hey Dollface1, you're absolutely right I must think positive. What I speak I will have. So yes everything will be fine. I'm glad everyone on here is so supportive I'm finally starting to relax a bit. And I don't feel as alone in my feelings.
