How do they pick the location of your landing interview? Is it possible to request a different location if you're going to be moving to another city soon? (i.e. you live in Van now but will soon move to Calgary)

Hi all, June 20th applicant Med requested Feb 6, did mine on Feb 17, just noticed that the online portal updated to medical passed. Now it says: "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information" Any idea how long this will take until passport...

So now that we are getting med requests... what's the timeline for the next few steps?

Usually around 350 including lab work and X-Ray. Depends on the clinic, but usually passport, the sheet that CIC sends you, and 4 photos of yourself (your clinic may have a digital photo system, in which case you don't need any physical photos)

Hi all, This may be a dumb question but is it possible to have your whole application returned to you for a missing document AFTER getting an AOR? Or would they just send you an online request for that specific document through the CIC portal? Thanks!

This may be a dumb question but... I received the AOR back in August. If there is a document missing, will they still return the whole application or will they just request the missing document through the online portal?

I feel like that's a good sign. When was your application received by CIC?

Has anyone tried calling the CIC regarding medical exam requests? or the lack thereof... I tried several times this morning, but they just say "we're experiencing high volumes of calls and are unable to transfer your call" and hang up.

Yeah but other applicants have heard back within 6 months regarding med exams, so..... what is going on?!

Oh I see. So I shouldn't be too worried until next February or so? I understand that the whole process takes around 12 months. Is that from the time they start processing the package (i.e. Aug 2) or from the time they received it (i.e. June 20)? Edit: also, any idea when I would get an AOR for...
