I have included my Taiwanese marriage certificate, screenshots of my bank accounts, household registration certificate, my passport, my citizenship card, my driver's license, 10 pages of photos and still preparing the 10 page dialogue...
I came across this sentence saying "...on the last day of the period of 3 years following the day on which they become a permanent resident", its on Form 1344 page 5.
But it takes 3 years for her to get her PR status after the approval to her application? Say, she gets her application approved on Jan 1st, 2022, then she has to be sitting on side line for 3 years before she gets her PR and start to work?
Hi,
Again, it's me. I am a Canadian citizen.
Just wondering what else is required to provide to IRCC in terms of financial documents? Tax return required? All I have is the screenshots of my bank account savings.
Also, if my wife receives the approval to her application, she will not be able to...
I could be wrong on the certificate one. I believe reading it somewhere on the form asking for education history. That impression might have got me thinking that my wife needs to prove her educational certificates in english as well.
Hi all,
I am working on my letter of explanation now. Few things will be mentioned on the letter, such as, the future plan of residing in Canada, the effective date of becoming a citizen...
Just wondering if there is a format we have to follow? I've read the checklist but it did not say...

Hi all, I am uploading my photos instead of mailing them...so, as per the requirement...
It asks me to provide my "name" and "date of birth" and a "brief description" on the back of the photos...
Now, should I print out the photos and write on the back of each photo and scan them or just...
I remember attending a small room in which you see a bunch of people who were to receive a certificate from a judge.
I was handed a piece of certificate and I thought that was it. The certificate tells you that its important to be an upstanding citizen and protect Canada etc. There is nothing on...
Thanks, but I know how bureaucratic Canadian government can be when it comes to docs like this...so i am still concerned that the app might get rejected given the date is a guesstimate...
I got it when I was in my teens. I have a copy of the certificate which does not have an effective date on it. It's really mind boggling...
Did you put in a guesstimate date and got the PR for your spouse?
I got it when I was in my teens. I have a copy of the certificate which does not have an effective date on it. It's really frustrating...
I am in Taiwan now and there is no line for expat to call IRCC to verify the information. Totally stuck here.
The certificate was in a light blue with the flags of all provinces surrounding it, and it was handed to me by a judge in person but . I only have the citizenship card now. It does not have the effective date as far as I know.
I never had a PR card. I landed as a dependent child of my immigrant parents. Now, I am sponsoring my wife who is not a Canadian. Now, as I am filling out the application form, one of the questions asks "what was the date you became a naturalized citizen?" It was like 22 years ago...
That's why...
Hi all, I searched the forum and all I got for this question is either,
1. spend 75 dollars and wait for 10 months to get it
2. call IRCC to find out
Just wondering how do you all find out the date when you become a naturalized citizen?
Thank you.
Hi all, I am a Canadian. I just married my wife in September in Taiwan and now applying the spousal PR for her.
May I ask which forms that I need to fill out to ensure the application goes through smoothly?
Also, I am planning to go back to Canada and start working while she stays here in...
