I usually get a financial statement from a Chartered A/c. This has proved a good strategy as my parents have never been denied Canadian (applied for extensions too from here) or US visas. This does not mean it will work for you.

I applied in may for my parents but haven’t heard back from ircc yet. They sent a biometrics letter back in may too but ask the service Canada locations are closed. Also ircc has provided an exemption from submitting biometrics if applying from Canada. when did you apply? did you hear back anything
